Digital Archive

With the state of the world right now I think it's a good idea to keep our own backups of anything that is available online right now but might not stay available forever. Even if all you have is a folder on your phone or laptop, it's probably a good idea to start making backups.

My Setup

I have an old tower PC that I used for my archive computer. I used Open Media Vault to make the archive available from any computer on my local network, allowing it to also function as an easy way to share files between my devices, and to send larger files to my roommate. I have three hard drives set up in a RAID 5 configuration, which was pretty easy to set up with OMV.
